Day 1: Hanoi - Halong
7.30 - 8.00: Leave Hanoi for Halong Bay
11.45am Arrive at Tuan Chau Island and L’Azalee Cruises Ha Long Bay Reception Lounge for pre-cruise welcome, passenger registration and welcome drink.
12:00pm Transfer from the Reception Lounge to your “Spirit of the Bay” boat to be welcomed onboard by your crew who will be hosting you for the duration of your cruise with us.
Commence safety briefing & tour of your boat with your Cruise Services Manager.
12:15pm Depart from Tuan Chau Marina heading in a southerly direction and review your itinerary with your host and get settled into your cabin or relax on the upper deck.
1.00pm Lunch is served while continuing to cruise through the tranquil, peaceful and calm waters between Cat Ba Island and Ha Long Bay.
2.45pm Arrive and drop anchor at a local Pearl Farm located in the Lom Bo Canal area. Here you can take a leisurely walk around this floating village where they harvest local Pearls of Ha Long. There is also the opportunity to purchase directly here while visiting.
3.30pm Weigh anchor and cruise in a westerly direction to the picturesque and tranquil bay area of “Tra Bao” or commonly referred to also as “Kiem Lam”. This is a secluded bay within the Cat Ba National Park.
4.15pm Arrive at Kiem Lam and here you can be energetic and jump into a kayak and paddle around or take a dip for some swimming in the bay or simply relax on the boat while taking in the vista of this area.
5.15pm Weigh anchor and cruise back in an easterly direction to “Anchorage 690, where your boat will moor for the evening by 6.00pm.
6.00pm Arrive at your overnight anchorage location and for the avid home cook, our culinary team will demonstrate two easy to make Vietnamese Dishes of Vermicelli Salad with Seafood and Grilled Meat with Lemongrass. You will be the envy of your friends at your next dinner party. You will receive a photo recipe card for each menu item demonstrated.
7.00pm Wrap & Roll Time! Who is the best & fastest spring roll wrapper onboard. Be in it to win it! The guest with the fastest and neatest wrapped Spring Roll as judged by our “Lead Chef” will win a bar beverage credit of VND 200,000 to use with dinner.
7.30pm “Dinner is served” on the main deck in the Restaurant.
9.00pm After dinner you can choose to try your hand at some local squid fishing or play some board or card games or retire to the upper sundeck for a night cap.
Day 2: Halong Bay
Sunrise For early risers you can take in a morning Sunrise from over the Bai Tu Long Bay area, watching the sun rise up and over the lime stone karsts of Ha Long.
6.30am Start your morning with some simple meditation and relaxation on the upper sundeck with hosted Tai Chi by our own Tai Chi guru from our cruise team.
7.00am “Good Morning Vietnam”. Breakfast is served from 7.00am till 8.15am
7: 30am Weigh anchor and cruise in a north easterly direction to Sung Sot “Surprise” Cave for a 30 minute transit time.
8:00am Drop anchor and remain onboard for a 3o minute transit period. Please advise your Cruise Services Host of the sightseeing option you would like to explore, on the evening before in preparation for the day ahead and your further exploring of the bay.
8.30am Transfer by tender boat from “Spirit of the Bay” boat to Ti Tov Island. This is approx. 15 mins where we will process your Day Cruise permit with the local Port Authority here.
8.45am Embark on your L’Azalee cruises day transfer boat of “Bay Adventure” or “Bay Explorer”. The allocated day cruise boat may vary subject to passenger numbers on the day for our 3D/2N Itinerary.
ROUTE 1 Choice
10.15am Cruise south and arrive at 3 Peaches Island and meander through the small khasts of Lan Ha in the Cat Ba Island area. Discover a small natural & private sandy beach for swimming, kayaking taking in the tranquility of the area. Some rare sightings of the rare species of Cat Ba Langurs have been seen around this area on the land.
(This sightseeing route is not available for the period of June to September in Summer)
11.45am Make your way back to the boat for freshening up and relaxing while we prepare your lunch.
12.00pm Lunch is served while you are anchored.
12.45pm Weigh anchor again and head in a northerly direction now en-route to Luon Cave.
1.45pm Arrive at Luon Cave and drop anchor where you can choose to kayak yourself or hop onto a Sampan and be rowed through the cave opening by a local resident of the bay to then explore the tranquil lake with blue water, surrounded by luxuriant trees and high jagged stone walls that you will discover once passing through the tunnel entrance of this well known icon of Ha Long.
Or instead of arriving at Luon Cave you may choose to arrive at Ti Tov Island/Beach at 2.00pm where you can choose to take a high and scenic walk up the mountain of the island and take some panoramic and picturesque photos high up over the bay. Here at Ti Tov you can also swim off the beach or take in some more kayaking.
3.00pm Transfer from Ti Tov Island back to your “Spirit of the Bay” boat for your second night onboard. Prior to departure from Ti Tov Island your Captains will complete Port Authority passenger registering formalities for your second evening on the bay.
OR ROUTE 2 Choice
9.45am Cruise south and arrive at Cua Van Fishing Village which remains one of the well known Fishing Villages on the bay. Here you can see the traditional floating village life for local families where fishing is their primary source of income. This village dates back for hundreds of years and passing down through the generations growing up here.
10.00am Here you can choose to kayak your way around the village or hop into a local Sampan boat and be rowed around by one of the local residents. Located at the village there is also a small Museum to visit that showcases artifacts of the indigenous people of the area.
11.30am Make your way back to the boat for freshening up and relaxing while we prepare your lunch.
12.00pm Lunch is served while you are anchored.

7: 30am Weigh anchor and cruise in a north easterly direction to Sung Sot “Surprise” Cave.
8:00am Drop anchor and take and exploring walk & tour through Sung Sot “Surprise” Cave. You will transfer by tender boat for this morning sightseeing.
9.00am Return to your boat, freshen up and continue cruising north again towards Tuan Chau Island. On this leg of your cruise you will pass by well known karsts of Ha Long of Thumb Island, Fighting Cocks, the Insence Karst featured on the 200,000 dong note and other interesting formations.
10.30am Check out time from your cabins and all beverage accounts can be settled onboard with the Cruise Services Manager at the reception desk on the lower deck lobby.
11.00am Arrive back at Tuan Chau Marina and disembark for transfer to the L’Azalee Cruises Reception Lounge, complete final check-out requirements and be served with our light lunch snack before joining your return transfer back to Ha Noi or another onwards destination. Please note that we can arrange to have your light lunch snack packaged to take away with you so that you can eat later in the afternoon in the car.
