This experience was definitely worth doing as we spent, my mum and I, 2 days and 1 night onboard Pelican ship (6900 if I remember well) a very good time. Food was great, staff was incredibly helpful and nice, and Miss Lan was ready to help and answer any of our questions. The balance between activities and free time was good too.
Of course, Halong Bay is a must see if you come to Vietnam/Hanoi and the organisation of the trip was smooth and nicely planned. Definitely recommend it

We went on a 1 night cruise to Ti Top. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect we very much enjoyed it. The free upgrade to a Royal Suite cabin with private balcony might have helped!
The food was good and plenty. Two pearl farm visits, one on the (great) transfer bus and the other one on the boat, were a little bit much though...

Halong Bay is just breathtaking, amazing, gorgeous and perfect. I could have stayed a week (or more)! We went kayaking, climbing to high lookout, visited huge limestone caves, went swimming. Pelican Cruises were fantastic, the vessel was just lovely, the food great, and the staff really went out of their way to make it fun, comfortable and just an all round incredible experience. Cant wait to one day (hopefully) go back!! Will definitely go with Pelican again when I do
