Built to resemble a traditional Asian junk, the wood-clad Violet features gleaming wooden floors, opulent silks and velvets, and cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the breathtaking views. Guests will find all the amenities they would expect in a larger vessel, including a gym and sauna, a spa with unrivaled views, a restaurant and a lounge, and a rooftop Sundeck. For an intimate experience of Halong Bay, there is nothing to compare to the lovely Violet.

There are plenty of boats on Halong Bay, but the way to truly experience its magic is with a 2-night stay on Heritage Line Violet. There are only 6 staterooms so the feeling of this ship is very intimate. No detail is spared, the food is outstanding, the service is exceptional! We kayaked in a small bay watching monkeys eat tree leaves along the shore, we visited an enormous cave, we hiked up a mountain, and we rafted through a remote fishing village. We did tai chi on deck each morning and had a mini-cooking demonstration each evening before dinner. We watched the sun rise and set, and enjoyed the quiet of the evening under the moon and stars. It was gorgeous, relaxing and romantic!

We were on there for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are only 6 cabins of which 4 are suites and we had booked into one of those. It was surprisingly large with a king sized and very comfortable bed and thankfully very good air conditioning given the outside temperature but it also had a balcony so we could admire the scenery of the bay which is very good albeit spoilt a little by the far many too boats plying their trade. We took in a couple of trips whilst on there - a visit to the Fairy Cave (Hang Tien Ong) and to Cua Van - a floating village - both well worth seeing. The food we had on the boat was very good while all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also took in a massage each which we thoroughly enjoyed, drawing the comment from us that it was one of the best!
Well worth doing!

Es war ein wunderschönes und unvergessliches Erlebnis! Ein wunderschönes Schiff (tolle Deko und Ambiente), sehr guter, freundlicher Service, sehr leckeres Essen (Mittags und Abends 5-Gänge!), viele tolle Aktivitäten (sollte man auf jeden Fall mitmachen - dafür opfert man dann auch gerne Ruhezeit!!).

Halong bay is beautiful. We were on the Violet cruise ship. 12 guests 6 cabins 16 crew. The Junior Suite is perfectly adequate
Lunch on boarding, dinner on deck by starlight, great crew
Do not miss (and the smaller boats look better than the 4 storey multiple cabin vessels)

Perfect Violet Cruise
The Violet Cruise was excellent. The guides on boat were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as could be. The room was great and the food superb!
It wasn’t cheap but it was worth every cent! Highly recommend!
